What will my client see when I add a comment?

This article walks you through what your client sees after a comment is left on a shared item.

In MyCase, all comment streams are tied to a particular item, such as a document, calendar event, etc. Who can see the comment stream depends on the item's sharing settings.

If the item is shared with someone, such as a client or firm user, that person can view the comment stream for it!

When a firm user or client comments on an item, everyone who is linked to that item is alerted that a new comment has been added and prompted to log into MyCase to view the comment.

Once logged in to view the comment, your client sees the item commented on in their Recent Activity. They can click on it to see the comment itself.
